To be honest, I don't get asked all too many questions ... therefore, this is less 'frequently asked questons', more 'occassionally asked questions and things you might like to know'. Might as well ...
What happened to your Links section?
It's disappeared, temporarily. I want to reformat it somehow, I just didn't like the look of it.
How can I contact you?
gailcmccoll@yahoo.co.uk; I'd give out some messenger tags, except I have a tendancy of getting bored of most of them within about ten minutes, then leaving people wondering why I amn't talking to them when I've forgotten to set a "BRB" message.
I'm fairly often on social networking sites to keep up with friends from back home without ringing up phone bills, so you're welcome to search. Random Skype searches, however, are not only scary, but pretty damn creepy.
May I link to you?
Of course, feel free!
May I use your images?
For most purposes, I will allow use, so long as you ask first and credit me, preferably linking to here. If it's for anything involving profit, then sorry, but I'll probably say "no".
May I display your animation work?
This is a rather touchy one, as some of the pieces I'm going to be displaying are group efforts; for the most part, being that they are all student films produced for university (which I obviously wouldn't be getting paid for anyway), I do not mind - so long as the same conditions as for image usage are met - but I can't necessarily speak for others involved. Contact me first and I'll see what I can find out, but please do respect the wishes of the other creators and don't just go ahead and assume.
I'm looking for people to work on a project, would you be interested?
As I am currently studying at university, what I can handle outwith my timetable is fairly restricted; however, I am always more than happy to take a look, for collaborative and paid work. I've taken on a few smaller jobs at the same time as coursework before and found them most enjoyable!
What do you use in your drawings and animation?
For the most part, I draw on paper, then scan the image into my computer and colour in Adobe PhotoShop CS3, using a Wacom Volito2 tablet. Occassionally I'll just draw or paint straight into PhotoShop - I do have to say "BOLLOCKS" to those that try and insist it's impossible to draw on anything smaller than an A5 tablet, and wonder who they're trying to get sponsorship from. Trying fitting an A4 tablet onto a 90cm wide desk and you'll realise that there are other options - I certainly did, and don't regret it.
For animation I tend to do the same process, draw on animation paper using a pegbar and lightbox, then scan in my images and compile them in Adobe AfterEffects. I have been known to dabble with Autodesk Maya and the occassional bit of Blender for 3D work, too.
Now that the formal questioning's over with ...

I'll probably customise one of these soon to suit my layout, but for the moment:
Myself!
Member of a mighty horde! (Though I do pefer to play Alliance) ...
The wonderful main man in my life .. and equally wonderful my boyfriend, Ian. He shall love bunnies, even if it's the last thing I do!
The other other man, Max.
